The sniffer canine’s abilities for security use have been know for quite some time, but only recently have these abilities been developed to a level where dogs have become one of the best responses we have for terrorism. 

Dogs are able to respond to almost any form of terrorist activity. The advantages of the dogs are paramount, and when we are looking at locating and identifying explosives, sniffer canines are the best solution available. 

Dogs can be trained to recognize all the known forms of explosives, both standard and non-standard, in a very short period of time. This is in sharp contrast to electrical means of detection, which demand factories and are often unable to detect non-standard explosives.. 

Dogs are able to detect explosives weighing just a few grams. They are also capable of detecting remains of

explosives, meaning they will detect

objects that had come in contact with

explosives, but no longer contain them

Electronic devices need to come in contact with the explosives in order to identify them. Dogs can detect scents from a distance, even when hidden. 

Dogs can search places that are inaccessible to explosive detection machines.. 

Dogs can differentiate between non-explosive scents and explosives in seconds, saving time and avoiding unnecessary searches.. 

In the correct working environment, dogs will provide a longer and more accurate scanning period than any person. 

In conclusion, in any situation, with all of the materials out there, dogs will provide the fastest, most effective, efficient and reliable results we can get today.
